The XT4 is our Biggest and Baddest Ferrite Subwoofer to date, and when we say BIG, we are not kidding! With a Motor Assembly measuring over 10” in Diameter, it was only fitting that we went big with Power Handling as well, so we incorporated an oversized 4” voice coil to increase the thermal limits to an impressive 4000 Watts Rms. We enlarged the Top and Backplate thickness to optimize and increase magnetic strength within the Mechanical Excursion Limits. We raised mechanical limits with a newly designed Cone and Surround Assembly for increased Xmax capabilities in conjunction with a tooled multi layer Progressive Spider Pack. With each XT Series being Built To Order, we can fine tune the suspension and compliance with several spider pack options as well as cone options for those who desire specific Musical or SPL goals. We engineered the XT4 with what we describe as a “Mid Q Design” which gives this subwoofers the flexibility to perform extremely well in Ported and 4th and 6th Order Bandpass Enclosures Designs.
